Final Standings Posted, Tour Championship at Springfield
The final standings have been posted on the website - please click on the Standings tab for more information. Due to the number of entries this year, there will be only 12 junior mens teams and 8 junior womens teams invited to the Tour Championship, which will be held March 5-7 at the Springfield Curling Club.

Provincial Fields Set, Ste. Anne Event Final Warm-up
All junior zones are complete and there are 32 junior women's and junior men's teams going to provincials, to be held December 18-22. 24 out of those 32 teams are MJCT teams, providing hope for positive growth across the province. The Ste. Anne Junior Bonspiel, Dec. 11-13 will be the final warm up for these teams and others
Kolomaya Closes Deal in Gimli, Vandepoele Continues Junior Women's Dominance
Jared Kolomaya defeated Alex Forrest 4-3 in the junior men's final of the Gimli Big Rock Classic to jump to #1 in the MJCT standings this past weekend. Tyler Drews and Steen Sigurdson were defeated in the semifinals. On the junior women's side, Alyssa Vandepoele won her third MJCT event in a row, defeating Kate Cameron 7-3 in the final.
The MJCT keeps on rolling this weekend in Petersfield for the Kyle Flett Memorial Bonspiel. Games have already started - results can be found HERE.
Vandepoele Wins Again, Birchard Repeats Stonewall Feat
Alyssa Vandpoele won her second bonspiel in a row on the Manitoba Junior Curling Tour, and Daniel Birchard won the Stonewall Junior Classic for the second year in a row this past weekend. Vandepoele defeated Breanne Meakin 6-2 in the final, and Birchard got past Jared Kolomaya by the same score in the junior men's final.
Semi-finalists on the junior womens side were Lindsay Robertson and Shannon Birchard, and semi-finalists on the junior men's side were Steen Sigurdson and Matt Dunstone. Tyler Drews and Sam Good made it to the quarterfinals.
The MJCT takes a break until November 6-8, where it arrives in Gimli for the Big Rock Classic.

The Stonewall draw can now be downloaded HERE. The games will begin on Friday and will end Sunday - I apologize for the error on the dates listed on the events page earlier, it has been corrected.
Vandepoele, Forrest Win Season Opener at Deer Lodge
Alyssa Vandepoele and Alex Forrest were the champions at the inaugural Deer Lodge Icebreaker this past weekend. Vandepoele defeated Shannon Birchard 7-4 in the jr. women's final and Alex Forrest defeated Steen Sigurdson 6-5 in the junior men's final.
Semi-finalists on the junior mens side were Jared Kolomaya and Sam Good, and Tyler Drews and Daniel Birchard were quarterfinalists. On the junior womens side, Kate Cameron and Kelsey Boettcher were eliminated in the semi-finals.
The tour stops in Stonewall for the Stonewall Junior Classic this weekend.
Deer Lodge Icebreaker Draw Posted
16 junior mens teams and 12 junior womens teams are set to open the season at the Deer Lodge Curling Club Oct. 2-4. The draw is available at the Deer Lodge Icebreaker event page.
Both of last years MJCT champions are in the field (Stonewall's Jared Kolomaya and Pembina's Kate Cameron), as well as defending junior men's provincial champion Sam Good of Stonewall, and junior men's provincial finalist Michael Johnson of Assiniboine Memorial. Junior Women's provincial finalist Alyssa Vandepoele of Ste. Anne is also competing.

The MJCT is now accepting registrations for the 2009/10 season!
To register, follow the link below and fill out all of your team's information. Registration is $20 per team, and allows your team to be eligible to earn points in events during the 2009/10 season.

Jr. Womens Player Reps Needed!
As last years Junior Womens Players Reps, Sarah Norget and Sara Jones, have graduated to the Women's ranks, the MJCT is seeking 2 interested junior women curlers to fill their positions.
